Broussard Eye & Lasik was founded in 1982 in Monroe LA by Dr. Gerald B. Broussard out of the desire to give back to his Monroe community. Dr. Broussard was the first eye doctor in the region to introduce refractive surgery and takes great pride in seeing every patient himself so that when it is time for your appointment, you’ll never have to worry about what eye doctor you’ll be getting that day.

About Dr. Gerald B. Broussard

Dr. Gerald B. Broussard is a Louisiana native and a graduate of Tulane University School of Medicine. He later went on to complete his Ophthalmology residency training at the Ochsner Foundation Hospital and Clinic. Dr. Broussard is board certified in Ophthalmology, as well as a member of the American Medical Association.

In 1988 Dr. Broussard opened a complete in-house eye surgery center, the first of its kind in Northeast Louisiana. The surgery center comes complete with top of the line technology and a staff of dedicated surgical nurses.
